Life is a collection of stories stitched together – one experience, one person, one moment at a time. Schumann the dreamer invites us into his world of fantasy and fairytales, while Libby Larsen reveals the struggles of a working woman, mother, and pioneer of the Wild West. Paquito D’Rivera channels the tropical breezes and irresistible rhythms of Cuba, Gershwin’s bluesy story echoes between the avenues of Tin Pan Alley, and Dvořák, with his sparkling and open-hearted viola quintet, recalls his idyllic summer in the Iowa countryside.
