Siren Songs

Siren Songs is a new contemporary operatic concert exploring humankind’s relationship with nature, our water systems, and climate change. Siren Songs features the premiere of newly-composed art song cycles for treble voice and piano by four up-and-coming women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ composers. Each piece toys with portrayals of “sirens” (e.g.: an unnamed voice calling out to her audience, with a message that is equal parts inviting as well as alarming– the water is rising, and nature is dying). Featuring performances by Cristina Gallo, Soprano, Jackie Kerns, Mezzo-Soprano, and AnnaLotte Smith, Collaborative Pianist

Admission is free, and there will be a brief talk on environmental efforts by the Boston Green New Deal Collaborative before the performance.
